TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Govt. Tax : 2% NBT (Nation Building Tax) + 12% VAT (14.24% Cumulative) will be added on to the Air total
- Driving License Requirements : An International license endorsed by the Automobile Association of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) (Endorsement not required if the driving license mentions Sri Lanka in a list of countries it is valid in) or a Permanent/ Temporary Sri Lankan driving license is required by Law and all reputed insurers. We provide assistance in obtaining the required documents mentioned above. Please mail us for details.
- Booking/ Payments : You can make a confirmed booking via e-mail. Rental and Refundable Deposit payable in advance on arrival. We may ask for a token advance prior to arrival during peak season.
- Currency : All rates quoted are in Sri Lankan Rupees.
- Air port pickup / Drop (If required) : Driver and Airport Charges including parking & pager fees: Rs. 950 + Rs. 450 (Cars) /550 (Van/SUV) for Self-Drive hires). The mileages and fuel calculation will be on a garage to garage basis in Colombo.
- Airport Collections/ Returns : While our location close to the airport (located only 200m from the airport road on the Colombo Road in Katunayake) is only a location for the collection and dropping off of the vehicles, mileage and fuel calculation will be on a garage to garage basis in Colombo-06 (40km from the airport). Airport charges and driver service charges will apply. Note the Airport location collection and returns only by prior appointment by e-mail or phone. Any vehicles returning with damages require assessment at our office in Colombo-06. All drivers hiring from the airport location need to fulfil the driving license requirements shown above. Collections from the airport location are only available to clients residing in or flying in from another country).
- Refundable Deposit : Rs. 25,000 for cars (Rs. 50,000 for Camry/Mark X, Crown), Rs. 30,000 for Vans, Rs 50,000 for SUV (Rs. 100,000 for Land Cruiser and Montero vehicles) per vehicle. To be paid by cash equivalent in any currency and collected the same (it will be held in a packet till the return). If paid by card, the refund will be made in SL Rupees less 2% as credit card charges.
- ervices of a Driver (If required are available are per requirement) : Colombo Pickup: Rs. 495/-, Airport Pickup Rs. 950/-, Daily Service: Rs. 1,200 per day
- Driver Extras : Night out of Colombo – Rs. 300/- p. day, Detention after 8:00 hours – Rs. 95/- p. hour.
- Driver Meals and Accommodation : Rs. 1,500 per day (Rs. 2000 for the North and the East) unless the hotel provides such facilities.
- Fuel : By client
- Mileage / Time Calculation : Our garage to garage Basis in Colombo-06. Mileage is calculated on a cumulative basis for the hire i.e. 560km for 7 days (80km a day). The number of days of hire are calculated on a ‘calendar day’ basis and not on 24 hour cycles.
- Optional Extras : GPS/ SAT NAV with tourist location information (Virtual Tour Guide) available at Rs. 395 per day, Rs. 2500 per week and Rs. 7,500 per month. Child Car Seats (in 4 sizes), Road Maps etc. are available on request.
- Insurance : All our vehicles are comprehensively (Properly) insured to cover the Driver, Passengers, the Vehicle and third party damage with ‘Car Rental Fleet’ cover. The client liability is limited to the refundable deposit value.
- Long-term Rates : On discussion. Rates are subjected to change based on taxes, currency variations and fuel prices.
- Collection and Return : Any collections or returns before 8.00 a.m. and after 6.00 pm are by prior appointment only.
- Validity of Rates : The information rates, terms and conditions given on this page are subject to change as per changes in the local rules, regulations and taxes. The charges basis of hire on page this will be reverted to in the case or an error in calculation.
